Replaced my back camera

Had the car inspection last week and inspection chap didn't like my rear camera, slightly obscured the lettering on my number plate. It was slight, but rules is rules. This is the one I originally fitted, the bracket easily goes between number plate and bumper.
I didn't particularly like it, but drilling was minimal.

As mentioned in other posts, the Z4 isn't the best car for a rear camera, position is too low. I ended up with this, dynamic lines pointed way to high :?

So it was time to bite the bullet, and drill into the bumper, and a new camera fitted.

And the result is better. I had expected some issues, either inspection or camera failure so I had left the video cable and camera power cable easily accessible behind a panel in the boot. Took just a couple of hours to swap them this morning.

I think he’s done you a favour, it looks a lot better now you’ve repositioned it.

Thanks for the update.
I was just looking at reversing cameras myself.
Was there much work involved in removing trim etc?

Not really, but I replaced a previous camera so I'd done it before. First time was a pain in the rear, I'd recommend printing some diagrams from realoem to find out where all the fasteners are.
