Replace my steering wheel with a new one

I own a 2003 z4 that has 80,000 miles and the steering wheel need to be replaced. Its showing its age.
Is this a hard thing to do?
How much do you think the dealer would charge for doing it?
What I would really like to do is change my current steering wheel to one of those newer ones that has controls for the radio and cd changer and volume control.

Any comments on any of these things would help

Its a very straight forward swap. Took me about 15 minutes to do when I replaced my steering wheel with a multifunction one. Since yours is a 2003 you just plug the loom into the slip ring. If you are doing it yourself, don't forget to leave the ignition off for 15 minutes before disconnecting the airbag else the warning light will come on afterwards.
