replace blown door speaker

Hi guys, I have to replace my drivers side door speaker in the 23i I've just bought. I have the professional system with iDrive. Unfortunately the speaker is buzzing and flapping so must be blown.

My question is, do I need a BMW speaker or can I get a replacement from Halfords or somewhere else (ebay etc). I only tend to listen to Talksport or Podcasts so I am no audiophile (although I have the 1200w Meridian system in my Range Rover Sport and that kicks bottom!!!)

If anyone can offer me any suggestions I would be grateful.

I know how to remove the doorcard to get to the speaker.

If you are just replacing the one, I would get the BMW one, otherwise I would replace the pair as you will get an imbalance, some very good speakers out there, loads of choice, but from what you have said I would go BMW.

No idea Milo, give them a call and make sure you are sat down
