Theres no box section Bing at that point, its double skinned but the space between outer and inner skin is probably only a cm or so. Its whether theres enough space to get a tool down there.

Tim, as I mentioned above I had a similar dent sorted with no tooling done on the back, get a recommended PDR to evaluate it. Mine used a glue pulling system and the result was completely undetectable on my new Mini.

Thanks alot Ewazix, I'm booked with Dent Wizard to have a look at it next Wednesday but if no joy with them will try someone else, looks like concensus is it can be done by PDR so will persevere with this method if possible. Thanks again.

It'll be fine!

Somebody put a golf ball sized ding in the roof of my disco when only a few weeks old. I wasn't happy!
It was just inboard of the A pillar on a complex set of roof curves - It was done as a smart repair and even under the lamp they use, the damage couldn't be seen.

Hi all,

Bit of an update, took the Zed in yesterday and left it with the Dent wizard guy who's done a pretty good job, its much better than I imagined it would be :)

Sounds like your happy ,but you still are not?.
Price seems very reasonable for the work involved.I paid £40 for a small dint to be removed from the wing on my z4.

Probably not to you and me, but the owner always 'thinks' they can see it because he knew it was there before :?

Thanks guys, I'am pleased with the results as the bodyshop guy I took it too said he was doubtful it could be done using PDR due to there being a sharp crease near to the door edge and no way of getting at it from behind. The bodyshop use Dentwizard so I just said I would be happy with it looking 70/80% The dent guy used a glue puller which has been pretty successful. Its not 100% perfect but I think preferable to a fill and respray of the door only which I think would have looked awful without repainting the whole car.

Closest I've taken,



You can still see a faint horizontal line inline with the bottom of the gill which was impossible to get rid of completely. They did wetsand the paintwork and repolished but its basically a shadow as you can still feel the dent. The metalwork in the Zeds door is quite beefy compared to modern cars which is why it surprised me he got most of it out using a puller than from behind.
