my roof was supposed to be grey from factory, but has turned more green over time. i've tried different cleaning products and none seemed to work so decided to just dye it instead.

much better, if i do say so myself! only used 300ml's of the 1 litre bottle too, so have plenty to spare for future applications.

I've been dying to use this (excuse the pun )is it as easy as they say in the blurb to put on ??

And is it uniform in colour across the roof or patchy?

Adam - the photos make it look better than it was. It looked so sunbleached and had marks all over the place. The clean grey roofs do look nice though.

It was very easy to apply. The hard part is masking everything up. I used a 2'' loss free brush . I did 2 coats to give a nice black colour, rather than dark grey/green.

Must be done inside though as any pollen/insects will get stuck on the roof and become fossilised

Is this the refiner stuff from Renovo or some kind of specific canvas dye? I bought the cleaner recently but didn't bother with the restorer and I doubt i will if i have to mask off and clear my garage for the application.

Oh yeah, looks a lot better

Got the same problem with the one I've just picked up. Actually got a thread to check if was supposed to be green....

Might be doing a dye job myself

Thats just a bit worse than mine was!

Grey roofs always end up going like that due to uv damage from the sun iirc. The black roofs keep their colour much much better.

Renovo will work wonders, but will show up the fold marks much worse, which becomes annoying.

My roofs gone through a few changes since this also.

First it went 'burgundy' which was more a purple red:

Now it's 'bright red', but needs another 2 coats, which will be done next weekend.

That's gonna look fantastic with a few more coats. Really cool.

What wheels are they? Great "stance".

Top job there! Big improvement. Good stuff Renovo, especially if you remember to mask off the windows first!

Oh well, you live & learn!
