Quick question i believe that this is a good product, do i have to mask the car off to apply it? bnd should i just get the cleaner and protector as there seem to be a number of products that they produce? The autogylmn product seems a little bit messy as you have to mask the paintwork off to apply it.

My advice is to mask, I didn't and was very, very careful, regreted not masking.

It wipes off from paint if you do it within 10 minutes after that it takes a little more time to get it off. The problem is when it gets on the rubber around the windscreen you cant always see its on but can in other light so i would mask those for sure.

mask up....... you know its worth it

The reviver only if you need to recolour or refresh a tired roof... It can be very messy and needs to be applied in clean conditions (no insects, dust, rain etc). Cleaner is for removing all the ingrained crap & stains and needs to be used before using the protector. Protector should only be applied when there's no rain forecast for a few hours (or even better, apply it under cover) otherwise the protection is reduced. And masking is better when applying the protector otherwise you need to clean it off the glass, rubber and paintwork immediately

x2: good advice.

"Mask, mask, and mask again"

Specially when using the Renovator, I was er, careful, but generous with application by paintbrush, but inevitably there is some run-off especially into the drain channels and puddles in door shuts the next day, as it wicks out of the fabric. It is VERY watery stuff, and will get everywhere unless you are very meticulous.

The protector is just as bad maybe worse as its clear. Do the job in good light and keep going around checking for splashes, cleaning off immediately, as its a pain to remove later.

I have used it several times before, with good results, however, aqua seal is just as good for proofing, and a lot cheaper, see other threads on here.
