Remving the courtsey lights???

Any tips and insuructions before I start pulling and prying on a coupe? I've go a footwell one out so have bought some nice LED replacements for the whole car, but I can't see an easy way to remove the main cabin ones. The boot and footwell ones look like the just pry out but just in case...
 
Cabin light, get a credit card or something else plastic and put it up the right hand side, you'll feel some clips, then the other side, then tug.

Fitted the footwell, boot and glove box so far. Just got the main cabin to do. Nice little present along with a genuine BMW stubby. :)

Just going for white.
 
Right, no joy on the cabin light. I will keep trying the card goes up and in, but I can't feel any locks.
 
It's the outer bit not just the glass bit, the whole thing comes out. Go for it, I have a spare you can have for free if it goes tits up, it won't but you have to be a bit heavy handed with it. It is the right hand dude just went out and did mine again to check I was using ha,f a credit card, the credit crunch has been good for one thing.
 
Prize it from the corner below with a flat blade as I have............. in that corner the other end has a lip. Work it along from there and .......hey presto

Right I'll have a shot tomorrow and post a picture. I don't have a surround like that though. The glass bit goes straight on to the lining. I have a feeling I'm just being a wuss, I shall report.
 
I used and iphone opening kit to pry it open. Did the but closest to the windshield and pull towards you.

Cheers guys. I have just found the light in the rear centre console, so am one light short at the moment, I will try this evening or tomorrow and report back. So far they look great at night.
