Removing tail light

I know that this post (and vid) is a bit old, but I just wanted to say thank you as I found it invaluable when I replaced both tail lights at the weekend

Wish I'd watched this video before I did mine a the weekend, I didn't raise the roof which meant I had a bit of trim constantly getting in the way :headbang:

I should've taken a photo, but on the drivers side on the bumper underneath the lamp do you have what look like 3 drain holes? I can't see them on the passenger side and not sure if they should be covered with foam or something.

Video won't run without Photo bucket. :?

It's a YouTube video. Completely disconnected from photobucket...

Guess it helps if you click on the link and not the picture. :) Good to see the Clangers again any how.

Got rid of the stupid photobucket link pic.
What is scary i posted the video nearly 5 years ago.
And no leaks since.

The video link, saying its been removed by the unloader. Can it be re-up loaded please? Need to replace my lights this week.

Hello,
I have water in one of my tail lights. Is anyone knowing how to remove the lights? (The video in this thread is removed). Please if you have an advise from the very beginning, how to remove the textile cover in the trunk ets.

Greetings
Ake

Blind; I found it just above. Very helpful.

I did this and took a few pics that may help people:

I know its a old topic but it might help somebody looking how to do it,, part way into the video it explains how to remove tail lights cheers mike

I have just replaced my right tail light. Was sealed but clip broke and water entered.
Bought new one, take apart.

Glue the rubber trim in place, then coat it with glue, i usedEvostick spray.

Then reattach and spray glue around the outside so it runs nicely down to the sealing edge.3.jpg

Did all this to the left light when replaced 6 years ago, no leaks since.

Not a good picture but all the electronics are at the bottom of the lamp. Soon as water gets in..well guess what.

I show how to remove the rear lights in this video at 05:45

I used this video today to swap out the OSR (right) light unit without much trouble. Had I not used the video I’d be cussing trying to get the trim panel out (without knowing to lift the boot lid on the rear hinges). Really helpful and recommend to others
