Removing scratches without a polishing machine

Just a heads up...for those of you who perhaps haven't used a rotary or DA.....

Try Megs Ultimate Compound to remove scratches and blemishes....it takes a bit of elbow grease granted but I tried it this morning by hand on a scratch I have had on my roof for 2 years now....and a machine couldn't get to it, and after 5 mins hard elbow grease, it removed it....and some detailer on it afterwards, it looks as good as new.

Make sure the surface you are working on is clean and if necc clay and wash it first....

Didn't take any pics, but it was a grey scratch on my white paint.....and yes Steve more than enough clear coat left......

Just good when you have a small area which needs working on....

Bought some of the megs ultimate the other day to tackle some hair scratches and paint marks from other peoples doors on the other hands fiesta. Seems good so far used with a sonos pad

The deta  iler I used mentioned that the Zeds Paint is very hard! he also used megs compound on mine - said it worked well with bmw paintwork.....

Got a few swirls I want to try to remove (don't have access to elec outside so a DA is out of the question), I am concerned that by using something as abrasive as a compound that I'll have no clear coat left to allow for future detailing!

That said I've been considering either of:

Sonus hand polish bundle (cleanyourcar.co.uk)

Or

Poor boys SSR 2.5 Super Swirl Removal

Anybody got any experience with either?
