Removing scratches from mirror housing-

Hi all-would T cut or Megs scratch X remove small scratches from my door mirror housing ( the black part not the painted outer shell) -or would these products make it worse and not smooth or blend them in-after some knob whacked it tonight?-thanks.

Is it satin black? If so, they will remove scartches, but make it unpleasantly shiny

Not sure about T cut sure I've tried it on previous car didn't go well :thumbsdown:

Yes looks like satin black.

Id try and get a salvage part then, take apart and replace that bit. Annoying, but the best way by the sound of it. Or sand and paint.

They are satin black painted. I would sand it down and respray with a good quality satin black. I used Autoglym Satin Black.

Replace the part I would say, should not be too expensive and fairly easy (have done a couple over the years but never during a knob whacking session though).

Ha cheeky buggers!-its just knowing my luck i would crack the painted part separating them.
