Removing/replacing exhaust rear section Qs

Hey guys I'm considering the Remus axleback and would like to fit it myself if possible.

I've done a bit of looksies under the car and on realoem but want to check if I've missed anything!

- From what I've found, the rear section is only attached with 2 clamp sleeves to the mid section which look pretty straight forward?

- The muffler mounts wriggle the rubber off or can I unbolt the brackets, then transfer off the car (I'm thinking the latter)?

- In terms of access, it looks like only the left brace and the reinforcement plate need to be removed?

- Finally, would there be enough room just lifting the rear up on 2 stands as opposed to getting the car up on all 4 corners? Or maybe up on the left side with 2 stands?!!

Thanks!

Are you buying new?

If so I would recommend either Supersprint, Eisenmann or Bastuck over Remus.

Remus boxes sound great on the newer models, but not so good on the older platforms. Not to mention they seem to only offer these tips for the older cars (which are ghastly imo).

I would be buying new (new parts are hard to get here let alone used ones!).

Supersprint is indeed on my list of consideration and I would actually prefer it looks wise (I agree 100% with you the Remus tips are not ...quite the right flavour depending on mood!). It's a bit more pricey than the Remus (~400-500 $AUD more locally) but I'm hoping that the dealer I contacted yesterday will get back to me with some more competitive numbers than online.

Same questions regarding removal stand though as I believe the Supersprint is still an axleback replacing the same section?

Your right about the exhaust attaching at the bottom of the manifold/cats section. However these studs are usually bably corroded and a pig to get off.

Well guys I've pulled the trigger and ordered the Supersprint Powerloop with Street muffler!

Excited like a little kid as Ive never had an aftermarket exhaust before.

Hopefully the install will go smoothly :)

Haha we shall see as I did think about it but was concerned race might be too loud. I have a neighbour with an aggressive RS3 that sounds like gunshots... And while it sounds awesome, not very awesome at 3am every single night... I would hate to become THAT guy.
