So it seems that removing my DSP amplifier has completely fixed my dodgy drivers window.
Prior to the amp's removal, the window would more often than not go down when trying to get it to go up.
It would take 4-5 attempts at pulling the "up" button before the window finally decided it would go up.
Now that I've removed my amp completely, the window is working faultlessly.
Also, the passenger side window, which was working correctly but moving slowly, now also works perfectly.
weird.. but true.
All those who are having window gremlins, I'd suggest unplugging your amp and seeing what happens.
