Removing dent from rear wing??

I have no idea when or how but I have spotted a small dent just above the rear wheel arch on my coupe. The problem is that I don't think a PDR guy is going to be able to get behind it without the wheel and the wheel arch liner coming off.

Has anyone had any luck sorting out dents on this particular part of the car?

Should be possible. See my recent post about #69 having a makeover. I had a dent on the arch and they managed PDF and its invisible

i spoke to a chips away chap about one on a mini and he said sometimes they can 'pop' them out without getting in behind..don't know how true this is.

I think they can get to more places than you would think...

Might cost a little more for the hard to reach places, but will be worth it once the dent has gone

Thanks guys, that rear wheel arch dent on #69 is exactly the same as mine, it's a relief to know that it can be dealt with. I might even take it to the same place in Swindon.

Have you seen the vids on YouTube where they use dry ice to remove dents? Or is that snake oil? :?

In theory i think its possible, I have tired on a can of coke  it did come out, but left marks etc, I wouldnt try it on my own car

noooo its not possible... tried this on a dent i had total waste of time,, i used the inverted air canister method to get the dry ice..... went to a pdr guy he undid one screw for the inner arch and pressed in the middle and it poped out..

I've watched a guy remove a dent in a BMW wheel arch at a show. Used in effect a slide hammer held in place with a sticky pad on the dent. 2 or 3 taps and a switch to a different pad and tool and it was gone. No paint mark, no inside access, etc.

Clever!

Did you get it done? Curious :)

I haven't but still intend to, just been lazy and not got round to it. I'm going to take it to the Bristol branch as its only a few miles from my office, hopefully they'll be just as good as Swindon.
