Removing coloured wing mirror shells!

You can pop the shells off with a trim removal tool, I think I started on the top edge closest to the window.
 
Roger Dodger fellas, will give it a go, going to spray them gloss black to match the screen uprights and my new black gloss grilles....

I considered that but not completely convinced, I would like to see it done in photoshop or similar first. Would certainly 'drop' the profile of the car with the roof up and make it look sleeker I think..
If you go ahead please post a pic or two.
