Removing Boot Carpet - Emergency Release in the way

Trying to remove my boot carpet in preparation for my Intravee but have hit a problem. In my old car also facelift there was no emergency cord so getting behind the bulkhead wasn't an issue, but I can't see how I can get behind this unless the larger part of the cord handle unscrews from the smaller part therefore allowing it to pass through the hole.

I know lots of people have done this so there must be an easy answer.

Just looked at TIS and it says to cut the panel to allow the cord through.

Is this what everybody has done?

Thanks for that, and now done. Only problem is I still cant lift the bloody Carpet as the battery is in the way :headbang:

After all that looks like I need to go through the interior after finding PVR's Intravee install guide.

Where are you going to keep your IPhone/IPod?

I routed my cable above the Cd changer and have my Ipod sitting in the cubby.Find it a lot more convenient than having it in the boot like a lot of peeps have. See pic here http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=24856
