Removing Battery

Hi Guys,

Im putting the car off the road for a while, looking to remove the battery and charge it whilst out of the car. I have a couple questions though...

1) How do i remove the battery, had a very very quick look and noticed its not just a simple 2 connections as per other cars ive noticed atleast 1 other connection from the battery to the car does this just pull off?

2) How often does the battery need charged should i leave it charging 24/7 or can i switch the charger on and off every couple of days, spending a fair bit money on the car for summer prep dont want to have to fork out for a new batter as well for me not charging it right.

Greg.

undo the bolt on the terminal closest to the battery post (negative first, then positive).

undo the LOOOONG bolt on the left side of the battery - this is the clamp.
undo the two bolts holding the metal battery strap down (one short at the top, one long at the bottom).
take out the strap
take out the clamp
ensure the terminals are out of the way and lift out the battery.

and will i need any codes for the radio or anything when i come to bringing the car out again?

No codes needed for the radio :D
Battery removal as sk93 :)
Do you need to remove the battery? :?
If in a garage leave it connected and use a trickle charger :)

Not an expert and others may answer but the car may slip into transport mode if not powered up for an extended time - can someone else conform?

got it removed, yeh its currently covered up on the driveway cant get it in my garage at the moment so its on a charger, will the charger need to be on 24/7 the whole time the car is off the road?

If it not connected I don't think you will need to keep connected. Certainly not to a normal charger, think it will damage it. A battery maintainer would be ok connected all the time though.
