Remove Seat belt guide on M Sports Seats

Does anybody know how to remove the grab handles on the m sports seats. There seems to be a few different versions of these seats as some of the later ones have very obvious screws whereas my early ones appear to have 3 very un-obvious holes in the back!

Here's the guide but just can't figure out how to separate the parts

The back part clicks apart so theres 2 sections as mine had broken and fallen off completely probably from pushing the seat back to far. Why are you removing it wont the belt then rub the seat?. There either glued or screwed to the seat id of thought if repalceable on realoem.com

I was refurbing the seats but I'm on the last leg of that process now so won't be attempting to prize these apart. I'd probably break them anyway!

I don’t suppose anyone knows how to do this do they? In the middle of the process and these have stumped me! :D

I have taken these off quite a while ago so can't remember exactly how I did it but I didn't find it hard.

Those 3 square holes on the back. Maybe I levered a screw driver in there to release the 3 tabs? The rest of it you prise open with thin trim removal tools.

Once outer casing off there are 3 screw to remove to get the rest off.

Providently, I have a broken one off the car while waiting for a new one to arrive. It’s in 3 pieces as per the OEM picture. The base plate is screwed into the seat with 3 screws, the outer plate clips onto that with 3 clips. The guide insert is sandwiched between the two.

You should be able to get them apart by unclipping the three clips through the rectangular holes in the face plate with a flat bladed screwdriver and lift the face plate away from the seat. There isn’t much else holding it together. Maybe a bit of pry between the face plate and the base plate to break any interference fit.

Alternatively, use a small amount of Semtex, as [ref]Zedebee[/ref] appears to have done.
Very funny, you can blame that on my trusty seat supplier in Lincoln :D .

Who'd have thought! Such a quiet and gentle soul too.

Sorry to break into your thread meitme, my drivers side is broken, I have glued it several times but it doesn't last very long. Could you tell me Zedebee, where you are buying yours from as the only ones I can see on line are for the non M sport seat. Many thanks in advance, Mike.

M-Sports have 2 different types, both styles fit so if you want to change you can. Part numbers are below. https://www.lllparts.co.uk/ have them both in stock.

Yes Mike, I’ve ordered mine from LLL Parts. You can order the whole assembly or just the broken part. I’ve ordered from LLL Parts before and they are OK, but don’t expect your order to arrive for at least a week.

Thank you Usel and Zedebee, that’s great, I don’t know why they don’t come up in my searches, I’ve been looking on and off for around 18 months, Mike.
