Remove Back Box

can anyone tell me if removing the back box with 2 striaght pipes on a 3.0si would increase performance, just tinking of insurance issues

I can confirm it will reduce your performance, as the engine is quite sensitive to backpressure, however as long as you don't mind the drone and performance loss, the sound is epic and your fuel economy will drop due to ragging it everywhere to get pops and bangs in the overrun! :driving:

Thats whats I thought but not really bothered about the overall performance on a day to day work horse way and yes it sounds amazin and the staggered chrome ends look great as well will try and post a vid

try this link, drone not too bad on my 30mile mway trip to work this morn, and yes gathered the fuel would suffer but it is good generally so shouildnt be too bad

did you have normal air filter ?
there are a couple of tunnels near me I havent tried yet but will do shortly :)
what model was yours

Yeap mine was a stock 3.0si automatic with backbox delete.

The pops occurred from me lifting off at pretty much redline, I had the gearbox in sport at the time if I remember or manual mode so the gear held at the end making the pops
