Removal of self-adhesive weights

Putting the summer tyres away for the winter so thought would give a good clean, all good except for some of the old balance weight adhesive is really stubborn to get off.

Tried white spirit, jet washing, plastic scrapers, meths and elbow grease but nothing is totally successful. White spirit would probably work eventually if you could leave soaking for a long period.

Anyone know what the professionals use apart from acid dipping or blasting?

Tardis works a treat.

Remove the weight first with some floss then soak the pad. Then gently remove using an old credit card.
