removal of Hazard light switch 2003 auto.

Hello everyone, I have got my first Z4 problem.. can anyone tell me how to remove the hazard light switch from the console. the central looking function works, my 6 indicator lamps flash when i set my alarm system, but the HAZARD lights wont work via the switch.. i want to remove the switch but i don't want to break anything in the removal.

Any tips would be welcome.
 
ill answer this my self, just pull off the gear stick gaiter its only clipped in, once this is lifted off you get access to the base of the hazard light/ central locking switch just put your finger under it and push upwards and its out..

the problem i had was the switch was not working my hazards when the button was pressed.. i found the problem the switch case switch housing base lugs where broken so when the button was pressed it was not making contact with the circuit.

a cable tie put around the switch body through a convenient hole, this has held the whole switch body together and all is now good. :driving:
