Removable License Plate

I bought my car from a state where they don't require a front license plate and I couldn't make myself drill holes into that beautiful Z4 bumper. I went looking for a solution, but couldn't find anything that would work how I wanted. SO, I made my own. Hope it's ok to post a video as I'm very proud that it actually worked with magnets!

^^Not sure how to make it work.

You can buy plates that work with static . Easy off and on .
No tape , no screws , no mess

If bikes don't need front plates then why do cars?
(I realise the safety thing on bikes)

For identification purposes Ron
Rob

My point is why does one need a plate and the other does not when in reality, both need to be identified?

Ideally both vehicles would have front plates, but realistically (for practical reasons) a motorbike can’t be fitted with one.
There’s no agenda or favouritism, it’s as simple as that

Any recommendations for where to buy them?

Not sure how they fare with MOTs though.

They used to be fitted with them either under the front headlamp or lengthways along the front mudguard.
We have a guy in Plymouth who removed his from his poop brown range rover and after being stopped several times he has fitted it so it is laid back horizontally i.e. numbers etc facing upwards, no one challenges him. I guess if you removed your front plate and challenged any conviction you might get away with it and we would see a level playing field.
No reason why a pushbike cant have plates either.

Yep, and they stopped fitting them because of the horrendous injuries they were causing
If you remove the front plate you’re breaking the law, good luck to whoever wants to challenge that as you’re not going to win against the establishment. There’s no practical reason why a car can’t have a front number plate fitted.

Aware of the reasons they removed them but nowadays they are not made of metal and could easily be made from a non lethal polymer or similar. In regard to challenging the establishment they guy with the Range Rover is getting on just fine as are quite a few of the local car club members who don’t fit them.
Seems like police are to busy to care!

I would also be interested for future cars if I can do that. I don't think I've ever seen one in US, though.

Guys, guys don't give them ideas or we'll have to put some plastic/polymer plate on the front out bikes soon too! In all honesty, it makes no sense that some states require it and some done. Obviously, it isn't that important if half the country doesn't need it.
