Does this work on the G29?

Can get cooling to come on remotely, but can't see any way of doing the remote start for say defrosting the car in winter/Scottish summer.

I am going to assume no as in the UK it would be illegal to leave a running car unattended unless on private land. Because of that I believe all UK market cars do not have a remote start feature.

Makes sense, it was my first thought. Though I believe from what I gleaned, the car cannot be driven in that state.

Why don't you try it. Have you downloaded the 'MY BMW' app?

Yes, have the app. No function on the app for it and I’ve also tried it through the menus.

Remote start is not available in Europe, but it might be possible to program it in, since they have it on the US models.

For the defrosting option you bought the wrong type of car, not the stuff most people drive during winter

I've had my windows frozen unable to open the car a few times the first year I had mine, defrosting would have been nice .
Now its parked underground most of the time, so the problem is gone.
