Remote roof operation

Is he programming the car or the key? If it's the key I might send him my spare key to get everything done. £25 plus postage there and back (recorded of course), the postage will be much cheaper than my petrol and no hassle... Just a thought.

They have to programme the car not the key.. Nice idea though

I went on Friday got the Remote Roof, One Touch Passenger Window Closing, Doors Lock at 10mph, Audible Warning when Locking and Unlocking the car, he even reset the electronic sterring angle for me, slight glitch with roof when I went to try it gave him a ring and he met me back at his workshop on the Sunday to sort it out.

See how it goes but for 25 quid and a couple of miles out my way well worth it, mind I have a module waiting to be fitted if goes a bit pear shaped.

Cant remember which options, but some a programmed to the key, usually things like radio, and ventilation settings, but maybe locks and roof operation, so worth checking both keys work.

For roof its the car. Like you say keys are radio, heaters, seat postition, convenient entry.

Did you all remember to get the triple indicate switched on aswell?

vas is das??

Standard on most EU cars that you touch the indicator and it flashes 3 times. Ideal on motorways for overtaking once you get used to the function and beats switching on on and back off after x flashes.

personally thats what i hated most about my 116i....was soooo annoyingg :headbang:
but of course its personal taste..
oh and i also hated the tiny engine but thats another story.

Got my car programmed on Friday. Pete's a good guy. Unfortunately my car was a little uncooperative and it took him an hour and a half to sort it out but still only asked for £25! Hood will now close off the key

If I lived closer I would certainly use him for servicing.

good to hear there is someone local to me (about 25 miles away!), think ill pop over nearer the end of the year and get a quote for inspection II after my next track day, also have an issue with my drivers door and fancy the roof programming to so may just wait and get it all done together.

Bloody hell! Didn't realise that I cover put the roof down remotely, how cool is that?

Felt a bit stupid dropping the roof from the office, but then having to walk outside to close it again :D

Is there a menu of programmable items? I was aware of the 3 flash indicate thing, in fact I was surprised it wasn't already on, but what else can I get?

3.0si Sport Roadster '57 plate BTW.
