Hi
Im thinking of installing the roof module from reinhold. And I was woundering if this is a good purchase? Also, is it easy to install??

Yes it is a great purchase if you want to be able to raise and lower the roof with the blip of the key

It is a 30 minute job and requires 2 leads spliced under the dash and 3 under console ashtray.

Allow another 10 minutes to adjust it.

Some members have however posted that they have managed to get the car programmed without the need for a module.
 
I fitted it myself too... took ever so slightly longer than half an hour, but got there in the end.. great mod!
 
Great mod !! I always had the top down feature from the key, However the need to stay in one spot for 15 seconds while you held the button was a pain. Standing there for the 15 seconds a piece of dust may float across between you and the car and the top would stop in the middle of the operation.

Now I just hit the key 3 or 4 times as I am getting out of the car and walk away. The mod is a real eye catcher at car meets as well. Anyone that knows about the cars that see the top go up and no one standing within 10 feet of the car starts asking questions! :thumbsup:

The mod took me 1 hr. I soldered all connections and bundled all wires as not to have any new rattles. OK OK I also had 2 beers. :rofl:
 
sounds awesome. from reading this option was standard on pre facelift. but good to know it can be retro fitted.
what's the cost of this, any links to it?
 
I need to work on the next mod now... the facility to walk away without turning your head to check the top is goin up... not mastered that one yet :roll:

IMHO if you do not look back at your car each time you walk away from it you are not passionate and it's time to move on...lol

or it could mean new exterior mod needed ;-)
 
Guy's I can hear the top start and I like to listen to the people around wondering how mine does that and theirs don't. Coments like , I need to call my service advisor on Monday, Anybody know who that guy is, buddies reply , Read the car plate.

I have more people asking me about this mod than I ever thought I would.

You could be right - just something to keep the attention focussed

I never got a reply from him regardng the module I have here without the adjusters ...
