Was having issue with my remote locking key fob. Took the key apart, tested the battery and replaced with a new rechargeable VL2020 battery which is what they come from BMW with.
Re-programmed the key and it was recognised by the car. The problem is that the key is unlocking and opening the boot perfectly but it does no lock it from the remote.
If it was a button fault with the lock button on the fob would the key have paired in the first place since part of the pairing procedure is to press the lock button three times with the unlock but held down, so surely it recognised the lock button key input to have pair successfully?
Also the car unlocks and lock fine with the central locking button within the car.
Any ideas?
