Remote boot lock

The remote boot lock on my 06 Z only works if you stand right behind it and about a foot away is this right ? The doors work fine its just the boot My old E39 i can unlock the boot if i'am in the house

My boot unlocks at the same distance as the doors, sounds like you have a fault somewhere.

My boot release range seems to be somewhat less than the doors, but I haven't done a serious study of it. I attributed it to the need to hold the button down for a bit drawing down the battery some. Still, the range is MUCH farther than you experience. Something is not right.

Changed keys and now it working okay:grin: maybe the botton is sticking
