I don't think so - firstly, the roll-over protection (which isn't required, fortunately) is already deploying as the crashing vehicle starts to pass the front of the camera car. And secondly, this is ALL about wearing a seat belt.

Actually, one article says that he was seriously injured after the crash and later died... So I was wrong. Thankfully.

Having looked at the video from a move point of view, he must have really slung his car behind that little car, then on the inside lane, then cut the little car up again to go in front of it - obviously completely unbalancing the car.

Interesting to see that for that old model, the indicators come on after the accident. I thought that was only on the much, much newer models.

My opinion is that he got annoyed with the guy in the outside lane (filming) going slow and decided to do a sudden undertake to make a point.
