Had the family taxi tweaked today with Dan from Mas Performance http://www.masperformance.co.uk/
Top guy who has done 6 previous motors. I trust him & am always pleased with the results :)
Especially so today when i took the 330d out after his computer fiddling . WOW this thing moves now  40 - 80 feels ballistic .
No lull or pause at all . It picks up as soon as you hit the pedal :P happy chap :driving:

Still can't be as much fun as the zed.

Keep it keep it.....

Seriously though glad your happy with the new car

Cheers Mm , had the tourer since january but has taken me a while to sort new wheels , wrapping the roof & the remap .
Once in motion i think the Z 3.0 si would struggle to match the torque , the BM diesel's are pretty amazing machines

Sounds like you have Satan coughing soot into your eyes and blurring your vision :(

Only kidding, your tourer does look the business. Friend has the 335d which is like a rocket and I imagine you're now not far off!

Mapping has made a massive difference to my A5's torque and smoothness, and its only a 2lt, bet its amazing in a larger engined car  :driving:

Its not just the speed its the roar from the engine that you can hear in the seat . It sounds like distant thunder as you gas it  for a diesel it sounds great .
Nothing like the 520d we had or the tractor sound of the recently departed Golf Tdi

the 3.0 diesels really do pull! my mates got a remapped 330d e90 and there is not much between his & my 3.0si coupe. neither of us can pull away from each other

We are on the same wavelength, I loved the engine in the 330d & agree it had character for a diesel but the 520d was just noisy gutless & characterless, I would have loved to have mapped our 330d & i am chuffed your happy with the results, enjoy the epic mid range! :D :driving:

The dealer said my 2.2 diesel Range Rover Evoque can be re-mapped and it still keeps the Land Rover warranty! :P It goes well as it is mind!

was just thinking the other day, when you re-map and have a load more torque, what is the effect on the dual-mass flywheel that has been designed to match the default torque?

Zero effect , mines the auto / tip :driving: gonna drop it at my indie next week though for the autobox fluid change & a interim oil & filter . Its done 7k since last change & computer shows 10k until next due service but i,m not a fan of LL oil regimes .
