Relaxation in CHRIS KNOTT age and experience criteria

They don't build garages that you can actually get a car in these days do they?!
I can't blame the builder, as I built it, but the land was the limiting factor.

Admiral and their affiliates are the only ones who will touch me. Z4m at 24, other than them id be looking at about 8 k according to the comparison sites. Wtf is that all about? Just over a grand with admiral...

CKI did me a great deal this week on my Audi TT renewal / chopped £60 off my lowest quote from Classicline & threw in the full breakdown cover + euro cover
We,ve had 1 or more car policy,s with CKI each year for the last 10 years & that,s generally down to price & cover offered , occasionally a wildly OTT renewal forced us elsewhere but generally they are competitive & easy to deal with .
My biggest gripe is the automated phone line system :x it,s annoying & takes too long to get to the point of your call
What,s wrong with
"Hello CK I "
" Hi " "please could i discuss my car insurance ? "
"of course , what is your postcode or policy ref ? "
which is how it is at Classicline 8)

Thanks Mr Wilks. We'll look into the phone system thing in the new year and see if we can streamline it further.

Thanks / my son is looking for renewal shortly also  22yrs old 1yrs NCD Golf Gti  he,s hoping to get under the £1400 he paid last year at 21 :) (not with C K I )

Hi
Multi car insurance for husband and wife under one policy? Two classic cars and two daily drivers.

The multi-car quote wouldn't be an issue but we might come unstuck with the 19 year old on the Jazz. Depends on the engine size and the experience of the drivers - they need at least 1 year's NCD each. By all means, give us a call and we can check it out for you in possession of all the details.

Thank you. I'll give you a call early next week. I have to gather together all the renewal dates as they are all scattered at the moment as are the companies I've been using.

The Jazz is a 1339cc cvt (auto) 4 door 2005. The 19 year old has only recently passed and the 21 year old was driving under my policy.

Who shall I ask for when calling.

Regards.
Costa.

Anyone can help you, though we probably won't be able to align the renewal dates.
Thanks.
Confused on the not being able to align the renewal dates. Will it not be one policy with each vehicle added as it comes up for renewal from my old insurance companies?

No, that's peculiar to Admiral and Aviva. With our version we source the best quote for each individual vehicle and then you just have us to deal with in controlling all the policies.

Oh I wish I could get a quote from Chris Knott Insurance, but alas I've been on hold for nearly 20 minutes now. I'm off to poke a pen in my eye, it will be more fun that spending another 20 mins hold...

I got through straight away last week, they beat the quotes I had from both Direct Line (idiots) and Adrian Flux. Still not cheap, but an excess of £300 instead of the £1,000 :o that DL wanted to charge me...

Just spoke to Rebecca to get insured, very helpful. Quote is cheapest I could find and was happy to go with Chris Knott:

£1025 fully comp
£250 excess
Full license for 2 years, 27 y/0
2y NCB
Full vinyl wrap modification

Not as cheap as I was hoping of course but seems to be dropping £100-£150 a year so far and minimum from other insurers was £100 or so more and generally a bigger excess. Some insurers wont even touch me just because of wrap! Makes me realise how much a wrap costs after the fact as well, found insurance which was ~£400 cheaper but is a no with the wrap lol.

Well after 4 days of speaking to Chris Knott to insure my Z4 I have now been informed that they wont insure me.

Over 25? CHECK
Atleast 12 Months driving Z4? CHECK
Atleast 1 years NCB? CHECK
Post code and Parking requirements all met? CHECK
Happy chappy with with nice new insurance policy? NOPE!

Credit to Kathy who was very helpful.
However knocked back by underwriters.

Will have to settle for Elephant's quote of £1,700 with £500 excess.
(Still less than last years £1,950 with £3,000 excess)

I suspect I will KNOTT be enquiring next year.

Cheers Chris NOT

Rant over! have a good day everyone
