Rejoice the price of fuel !

At these prices it might be cheaper for me to drive to the South Coast for the ferry in for my Euro trip! :D

Biggest outlay of motoring....

We put about £180 a month of fuel into 2 cars..... Not a lot in the scheme of things,and im sure others use a lot more but its nice when a few quid is saved.

Im very tight,so it makes me happy...
 
I'm lucky as I'm retired and don't have those daily travel to work costs.
On the flip side, as I don't use a lot of fuel on a regular basis, my wallet doesnt see the impact of a 20p / litre price drop.
 
£300/£350 a month on fuel for me so i reckon its dropped around 20% in 12 months leaving me better off by a decent pub lunch for 2 every 4 weeks :)

1 euro 46 a litre at the moment at Shell.

Euro is weak at 1.29 against the pound though.
 
I filled up my oil tank for the house a while back so that has cost me a few hundred ...

May sound cynical but i i expect it to dip under the £1 & hover around there before & during May 8) from there its pretty obvious it will head back up , but at least the motorist has had a reprieve & for once it has benefited the ones who spend the most :oops:

Now it's low, I reckon if it's still low when the next government get in ( no matter what colour) they will take the opportunity of raising more tax. Then when oil prices go back up they will happily tell is that the hike is due to oil prices - look out for £2 a litre then.
