Reinhold "One Touch" Ordered

Run some searches as it's been covered.

I've fitted a few for people. Biggest thing is to solder the connections not scotchlock. I unplug my iron so it doesn't earth the bus.

SNAP - take your time and check each connections as you make it with the instructions.

Got mine fitted yesterday. Very easy to put in and the instructions were very clear. Best mod I've done so far as holding down that button was doing my head in, especially if I was at the lights and they go green!!!

This may be a daft question but with the one touch module fitted if you operate the roof by turning the key in the door, once the operation starts does it continue without holding it or are the two not related?

When it stops raining here I'll check for you. Typical, I get the roof working the way I want it and it pours rain for two days.

I doubt it will work though to be honest.

It does seem like a worthwhile mod. I noticed yesterday my neighbour was reversing her Saab 9-3 out the driveway with the roof going up whilst she was driving - clearly no button holding!!

No you need the remote roof module for that then you just press the remote lock or unlock button three times to open or close the roof.

So if you have your remote roof operation feature on the key unlocked there is no need to hold the key button down anymore with this module?
I thought the one touch module only worked with the interior button?

You can reverse and close the roof in ours too  not sure about the e89 tho, probs not as it's a bit heavier..

One Touch - By pressing the button on the centre console for approx 1 second either opens or closes the roof.

Remote - By pressing the open or lock button on the remote three times raise or lowers the roof.

Unlike options that can be programmed via an Indi none of the above require you to keep pressing any buttons :D

Hi guys

I was fitting my Roof Remote Module at the weekend, but could not get it to work. I found this product by accident and just found the posts now so was hoping someone might have some advice

All the connections have been made, I tested with a Multimeter to double check. I keep playing with the pots, and testing, but still the roof does not go down with the key. The 'key-in-door' feature for open and close still works fine.

I am in contact with the seller who has been extremely helpful with this matter, but before I return it to him under the assumption the unit is 'faulty' I was wondering if anyone who has fitted the device themselves has any advice or had similar issues?

I have a 2003 Z4

Thanks for the help

G
