Registration Plate - E86 FUN

I think it would look great on my E85, as in "This is an E86 in which you can have fun"

I requeted an available plate, DVLA emailed to confirm it has been put into the March auction.

It's mine so hands off  But then it's only relevant to me :P

It's a great plate for any Coupe owner, but I just can't see the point of a plate that is specific to the car. I'd rather have one that means something to me then I could transfer it to any subsequent car whatever it was.

Then again it might have been a good idea when I bought my first E86 in 2014!

What I don't get is that only very 'nerdy' car people (and the manufacturers) know, or care, about the designation model of a car.
99.99% of the population would see the 'Z4' moniker on the back and that's it without having any idea what 'E86' means.
So if you want to buy it 'for me', get one that is specific to 'you' not the car :?
Or, alternatively, go to eBay and get someone to make an "E86" badge for the back for a quid, then buy the plate!

It's just another form of personalisation - no different to wrapping part of the car, or changing the wheels (for example). I own four registrations. Two have my initials and my surname in them and were actually gifts. Two are car specific and if and when I sell the cars I'll either let them go or sell them separately to another enthusiast if I can. They're all just a bit of fun.

I too am interested if anyone on the forum bought the E86 plate... https://dvlaauction.co.uk/auction/B263/E86FUN £2360 :o Way more than I've ever paid for a reg!
