Refurbishing kickplates

Got some Z4M kickplates that had water damage under the surface laquer and some deeper surface marks - see pics

Refurbishment of these today to a nice Matt finish to compliment my Cirus interior trim - last 3 pics

Easy job
Wash parts with dish soap to degrease then dry in sun
Mask up to protect plastic
Use medium and fine scotchbrite pads to take down the damaged areas and then to give a key to the whole surface.
Removed and then reapplied masking tape tucking under the metal inlay
Panel wipe (isopropyl alcohol) the surface
Then did 3x coats of isopon clearcoat

Did them gloss finish initially but didn’t like it so went Matt instead
