Refurbed MV1s in Matt Bola Bronze

I had these on my Monaco Blue coupe which has now gone with the original wheels, so they are surplus to current requirements and taking up garage space.

Professionally refurbed by Oxford Performance Autos in 2021 and done only a few hundred miles since then. Barely any marks - no chips or curbing at all, definitely no cracks or buckles.

MV1s, also known as style 72, are a nice light wheel, about a kilo lighter than 108s when I have weighed them side by side without tyres.

These were refurbed and powdercoated in the standard silver colour and then re-coloured at my request in Matt Bola Bronze. The over-colour in the barrels is not the best, but all the visible bits are great.

Tyres are a mix - Michelin Pilot Sport 225/40/R18 on the front, Aoteli 255/35/R18 on the back, all with plenty of tread.

Looking for £550 ono, collected Farnham, Hants; or would consider a swap for a set of 18” wheels in similar condition fished in gunmetal grey, graphite, anthracite or similar, but not black.

Hi Zedebee, I am interested and live in Farnham. My E85 roadster 3.0i is currently running on 19's (came like this) and having some issues with handling and think 18's will be just the ticket plus alignment.

Hi there Waldemar. Come and have a look at them, I’m down the road in Bentley. You need three posts, then you can PM me.

Fantastic a spin to Bentley will be in order then, Wednesday early afternoon or Friday before it's dark could work for me, if that's suitable

Lovely car.

I’ve DMd you. Not sure if 18s will resolve your handling, but the colour will sure look good. :D

Booked into RBM's Hook on Friday, I suspect sticking caliper, alignment, and wheel balancing/inspection required, plus new rear tyres. Had three warning lights come on the Brake pads (which don't need replacing), ABS and DSC total loss of feeling on the brakes plus weird vibrations for a while arrived at the destination gingerly. The return leg just brakes pad light and seemed to be behaving. Hopefully discover what's up on Friday, still keen on the MV1s

That’s not good. Ross at RBM is a good guy and should sort you out. Fingers crossed it’s not the ABS pump which is a costly failure. If so, you can get it refurbed (I think ecutesting offer this) which is a lot cheaper than replacing.

Seized front left brake caliper which means replacement plus discs and pads.
As discussed you only need a new or second hand caliper and one pair of pads, or you could probably fix it with a caliper refurb kit. Happy to help if you need it.

Now sold - happy new owner

:D Thank you Zedebee. Great meeting you today, thank you for all your help and advice. Loving the matt bola bronze MV1s which in my opinion, work well with my car and the lighter 18's certainly feel better on the road.
