Hi all,

I’m planning to fit a new set of KWs (most likely) over the summer. The ZMC is new to me, low mileage 07 plate, but I’m assuming it’s still sensible to replace the key components that typically deteriorate with age.

Over the past few days, I’ve been putting together a list of jobs to tackle. It's already had inner and outer track rods, as well as engine and gearbox mounts replaced recently.

Here’s what drafted on the to do list, am I missing anything/are there items i should be replacing for better ones? Ive searched high and low for a list of things that people have done and theres nothing that i can find.

Meyle is fine I think, not used them personally, though I believe Lemforder is mostly OEM if that matters to you.

Ah, got it. I initially started looking at Lemforder, but then I saw a few threads recommending the HD parts, so I went down that route instead. If Lemforder is OEM, I’ll stick with those components. Appreciate the post, it’s going to take me a bit of time to read through it all and track those parts down!

Also, I tried to order the B16s last week, but no luck, they seem to have stopped producing them altogether, with no future build date.

I know if you are buying new KW V3 they come with new front arb drop links. I don’t know about any other KW shocks though.
So if buying new V3’s don’t buy any drop links.

No worries, I based my part list on being *slightly* more track focussed but still perfectly useable on the road. I've heard good and bad with Meyle, I did a ton of research when I did my research and OE or OEM seemed the way to go.

Interesting on the B16's, quite a few site's *appear* to be selling them still, part number is 48-141635 if you google that (Roadster and Coupe have the same part number). Bilstein themselves seem to have a good offer on them at the moment not far off what I brought them for a good few years back now. Have they told you they're not making them anymore?
Either way KW V3's and B16 seem pretty much on a par so wouldn't worry either way, I went for whichever was cheaper at the time and the B16's were on offer when I made the plunge.

Yeah I reached out to Bilstein Suspension Store and Larkspeed, both went to the manufacturer I assume as they had to check stock. Both came back and said no which was a real shame as they were quite a bit less than the KWs.

Ah, from the horses mouth then, that is a shame. Worryingly quite a few parts for these seem to be becoming no longer available, I guess par for the course with the relative rarity and age of these cars now.
Still, enjoy it when you get it all together, will feel a whole lot better to drive

You won’t be disappointed with the KWs - they really do enhance the car.

OK, so I’ve refreshed the list and it is now the below. Ignore the prices on the Powerflex stuff, the links are to show the items (they are listed as the set required/pairs or the volume required to replace etc)

Then theres a separate list for the LEMFÖRDER stuff that has the X by volume where applicable. Ive left off the BMW parts of BMW Rear spring pads, Front shock tower reinforcement plates and front top mount axial bearings as have ordered them already.

Anyone fancy QC’ing my list and saying the volumes are correct and I'm not missing anything else? Autodoc seems to be the cheapest out there for the Lemforder stuff at the minute, so will order from there.
