Refitting new mesh for OEM wind deflector

Not sure if anyone has tried, but is it possible to remove the old netting and replace it with my own? Already got a replacement, but i'd like to just refurb this and sell it (or if its not possible to refurb, sell it at a low price)



Curious if we can refit it so i dont have to deal with that hole anymore. I did notice a rubber seal around as seen below, not sure if i should start prying that or let it be
