Redundant Z4 :-(

10k + 7k finance so 17k in total

Not good news about your job. Hope things improve for you

no no - 7k settlement figure, sold z for 10k - means i'm 3k in pocket .... although i'm gutted and still feel like i've been raped lol

You let that go cheap! For an unfortunate reason obviously. The new owner must think they have just won the lottery!

Did I just miss something or has this car been sold for about £5k less than it is probably worth? This is a £25k car new four months ago, no wonder you feel raped but IMO I think you bent over for them.

TBH I was thinking that too, maybe a dealer would have taken it for more than £10k, anyway it's gone now...

Car is no doubt behind book and quite a lot. Further the car is a "low" spec for want of a better word and as such people are reluctant to part with hard earned for the same.

£10k ish probably sounds about right. Cant think of anyone who would let a car go for less than a trader would offer.

Sorry but that is nonsense ths car was £24.2k as a basic spec 5 months ago - 14k depreciation about right? There is not a car with this spec available anywhere, here is an example of what BMW are trying to get for this type of car:

10k is nonsense.

10k is nonsense.

So you'd pay £24k for that car would you? He didnt pay anywhere near that.

Glasses guide states the car is worth £12k. Glasses prices are for cars with 18s and leather.

All BMWs are behind book at the moment. The car has no leather nor 18s.

The car is worth £10k, and to be honest I'd say that was a good shout. Ok. :)

Where does it say on the Glass's valuation it includes those extras? 10k is a giveaway imo, but he needed a quick sale due to his circumstances and as long as he is happy with that then none of this matters.

Once upon a time in a land far far far far far far away I worked in the trade.

Should you be able to lay your hands on an actual physical glasses guide you can read the "spec" aspect there. Poverty spec cars are not wanted (no offence intended).

Chester will have done his homework and had the car valued professionally prior to pricing it, he didnt pay anywhere near 24k for it.

Sorry ppl but thats the way it is, the car industry is on its knees and our cars have been hit hard.

Chesters car is worth circa £10k in the trade or for a quick private sale.
I for one certainly wouldnt have paid anymore than that should I have wanted a 2.0l.

Would've been interesting to see someone like CJ10jeeper buy this and mod it up to full spec... couple of heated M seats off fleabay, sat-nav, etc... would have been a fantastic project car.

Sorry for your loss Chester... hope you either get back on track or win the lottery, you'll be missed around here!
