Redundant Z4 :-(

I'm gutted as I'm having to give up my Z4, I bought it *brand new* in November 2008 paying full price for it at a BMW garage.

It's a Z4 2.0 SE 150BHP, cloth interior, BMW OEM Cup holders etc,

It currently has 4,800 on the clock, in Black, due to being made redundant at work unfortunately I'm going to have to tighten my belt, unfortunately that means having to get rid of luxuries and that needs to include the Z4 as I've got another car (no where near as flash) but when needs must

Before I approch any garages with it I thought I'd offer it up to anyone on here, it's in top condition, as new, and it's only 3/4 months old. While I'm working away (which is most weeks) it's been sat at the airport car park, so it's still in the process of being bedded in on the engine. Everything is spot on with it, I've had the following mods done

* Reprogrammed for remote open and close of roof from key
* Alarm bleeps on locking with indicator flash
* One touch indicators switched on
* OEM cupholders fitted
* Purchased centre console arm rest (Havent fitted it yet)
* OEM ariel replaced with the stubby one (Still have OEM ariel)
* The car has also had the BMW Seal & Protect on it, along with the bag of goodies from BMW

It pains me to part with it as I love it to pieces but unfortunately needs must

I'm looking for something around the £12,000 mark, I'm hoping someone on here would be interested.

Either send me a message on here or if you want to contact me I'm on 07595 373001

Car is currently taxed until November 2009 and came with the full 3 year warrenty.

I have a private plate on at the moment and will take this off and put it onto retention. Just hope I can find a good home for her.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your job and that you have to part with your car. :( It looks in outstanding condition. :)

Sorry to hear....moreso about your employment than the loss of the car (though I would really hate to loose mine).

Yeah I had the incident fixed regarding the snow, a new door panel was fitted and it's all good :)

Anyone wanting to discuss could always drop me a line :poke:

Not good to hear about anyone losing their job :(

Car comes a very distant second in situations like this though. But I hope you don't have to sell it!

It`s worth advertising but I hope your plan is to find work again before it sells and then keep the car  It`s easy to kind of panic sell only to find work again soon afterwards which then leaves one wishing they never sold the car.

Feel your pain, I was made redundant and have been out of work for the last 18 months :(
Sorry to hear that but keep positive!
Are you able to operate on a self employed status (such as working on a contract basis?). I took voluntary redundancy back in 2002 which was a bad time to be out of work in my chosen career path and couldn`t find another job for some time although I confess for the first 4 months I enjoyed just chilling out but then found it hard going. I then set myself up as a consultant and had a go at working with clients on a contract basis and now prefer working in this way.

This car is on hp guys - don't touch it.

Mike that's a really bitter commment, as per our conversations on email, I was upfront with you and said I currently have finance on the car, which would be cleared - I also stated to you on email that I was happy to sign a condition of sale at the point you would have bought it stating in writing to you that it would have been cleared, which would have covered yourself, and I also said I would have forwarded you the letter from the finance company stating it had been settled and they had no further interest in it.

I also gave you the option of settling directly with the finance company and then pay me directly any extra over and abiove the settlement, as discussed the settlement was approx 7k - we agreed a sale of 10k, but as it stood I wasnt willing to give the car to you without either A) having the finance settled(if you dont this directly or i did myself and B) handing the car over on someones word of their promise to pay before it actually had been payed for.

I found your demands for me to hand the car over to you without having any confirmation you would either pay for it quite unreasonable; I was honest and upfront with you about it; I also found your demands for me to request a 8k overdraft or loan a tad unreasonable too, to clear the finance before you bought it given the fact I've just been made redundant, as I said to you, I was selling the car to put myself into a better financial position of not having the monthly commitment; not opening myself up to being in a worse one for giving a car to someone who may not pay.

As it stands it's been sold - without any issues and the finance settled, like we discussed mike.

I bought our Z4 when it currently had finance..... No big deal at all!

The owner got a final settlement figure i ran a HP check and spoke to the finance company. We met up on the day he came in with me to my bank in his town and watched as i sorted the bankers draft to the finance company.

We went to the post office and sent it via recorded delivery so neither of us had any control over the draft.

I paid him the difference and drove off. He got a letter from finance saying it was clear.

Chester

I cant understand why your selling it so cheap, Id have it for £10k!or at least mentioned it about.

Mike.............

You should keep your mouth shut and snap his arm off!!!! Do it like i did and both partys are more than covered.
