Do the pipes that stick out of the box have caps on the end so that gases cannot pass through them or are they open?

The bypass pipes that were available through the forum exited the rear silencer & rejoined it the other end, effectively bypassing the baffles inside the rear box. They weren’t open or capped

Tell you what, if the db killer inserts don't work,maybe as im getting on a bit,i cant cope with the drone of the pipes, even though this is only at low revs,so they will be going in the Sale forum

I bought the shortest one for both pipes and just removed the screws. They were held in place snugly as I wrapped exhaust wadding around them that you can buy as a mat and tied with copper wire.

The neighbours could hear me from streets away but NO DRONE

I took the end piece off the smaller end so it was just like a small 4" long reducer pipe straight through.

Now just need to refit exhaust and try out, fingers crossed

Took her for a spin,noise is still there pops and bangs are now more controlled,still a drone but no where near as much
Going to run with it for a few mile,and see if I like it
IMHO with straight pipes you’ll never get rid of the drone completely
