So I was basically showing off Red to a mate, who (with permission) sat in the drivers seat. He started checking all the cubby holes, drinks holders etc, including the sunglasses pod. He lowered it, and then raised it again. It would seem one of the arms of my glasses got caught between the lip and the sprung loaded catch, and it wouldn't close.
His solution?
Let's try it a couple more times with a load of brute force.
Cue one busted catch.
I found the plastic bit of the catch just under the handbrake & drove home with a) a grump on and b) the sunglasses pod open.
Got home & found the spring rolling around in the lowered pod. With a bit of patience and a needle nose pliers it's back in a working.
Note to self: get rid of the aviator style sunglasses - they don't fit properly.
