Redline gear oil

Redline seems to be a favourite in these cars, ran it in my 3.0si and improved the shift a lot so keen to go with it in my M.

A forum search suggests Red Line MTL 70W80 GL-4 however this no longer seems to be available and now replaced by MTL 75W80 GL-4.

Will this cause any issues? Anything else people would recommend?

Cheers

Redline MTL is good, I've just changed to this a few weeks ago. I went for a full litre of MTL mixed with whatever space was left for Redline D4 ATF (about half a bottle). Gear change is so much better now and slick. Recommended by quite a few people, unless your car see's more track work than road it'll be fine.

I think the question was about the recent change from a 70w80 to a 75w80.

That's what I put in so my experience / advice still applies  (also recommended by Opie as well so don't think the change makes any difference)

Nothing other than a bit notchier gearchange from cold, I would presume.
(Which was the biggest gain with 70W-80...)
