Red Wheels?

I have a black Z4MR. Standard silver M wheels. Embarassingly these now need recoating (baking) due to a few curbing marks. While I'm at it, might try powder coating them - either black with a red rim (I know not a contrast - but looks very aggressive on a black car) - but also considering fully red wheels. Only ever seen 911 with fully coloured wheels and no examples online. Do you think I'm mad or think it could look cool? Any pic links to red wheels on black car?
 
maybe for track work, but im not sure for a road car. im all for things that are different but i think it could look a bit cheap.?

im sure i have seen a z4m with BBS alloys on here, that had black wheels with either a red or white rim? looked ok
 
Black wheels: yes, look cool. If you have red seats a thin red line round the rim would look pretty cool.
Red wheels: for the love of god, no! Coloured wheels never look good IMO, never ever! :thumbsdown:
 
Yup, looks like when I was 5 and took my mum's nail varnish to my matchbox cars... Even then I regretted it! :thumbsdown:
 
Dear god man NOOOOOO!

Seriously just put some CSL wheels on and thank your good sense. You can always flog the old wheels if their appearance continues to offend
 
I've seen in a magazine, Evo I think, a wheel trim that fits just on the edge to give protection and I guess a different look as they were shown in various colours.
They might be/look crap but could be worth a look.

Ive seen them locally to me on a blue Jag XJ8, yep they look cr*p!

as for the full red wheel question... You would certainly be different..... almost certainly unique :o but not for me...
 
Had the misfortune to see a Z4MC in Birmingham last week with both red wheels and a red grill. Not great :thumbsdown:
