Red Tyre Pressure Light with New Non Runflats

Just replaced the Front Tyres with Non Runflats and within 3 minutes the Red Tyre pressure warning light has come on, this car is driving me insane, really thinking about selling it...any advice on what to do about it would be much appreciated.

Have you tried the reset as it now has different size (due to the depth of tread) tyres on and the computer is counting the indents on the rotor rings to calculate the circumference of the wheel and now seeing a difference between the front and rear so thinks it has a deflating tyre.

I pulled over when I had the chance and reset the tyre pressure holding down the button, but it came back Red immediately...

Is it just the tyre pressure light or also the ABS light? I had something similar on a Cooper S when an ABS sensor was failing.

I just pulled over and held the reset button until it went yellow and then drove off I think, like after checking the tyre pressures normally...

Yes, sounds like the right procedure.

1) Check all tyre pressures are correct with gauge.
2) With ignition on, hold and press tpw button until indicator on dash goes yellow.
3) Drive off normally.

I would try the procedure again if no joy. Make sure tyre pressures are correct!

Have you checked the pressures? In my experience, tyre fitters almost never use the right pressure and usually you end up with 4 tyres, all with different pressures, some different by quite a long way. If you have this situation, the light will come on again straight away.

Thanks for the replies, I'll check the pressures, haven't done that yet, hopefully this will solve, would a bit more PSI in the Non Runflats help...?

Give the lad a brake. He's been under pressure with this car for a week or more now. Seems wheely unhappy with it. Probably just tyred of it all.

This car's been a pain in the arse since I bought it, 4 years ago, every six months there's another problem, just like to drive it without some warning light for a change, it's the first BMW I've owned, not sure if I'd have another...

No, less pressure. I use f36 r38 psi in my 35i. On an e85 or 2L e89 you might want a touch less.

I had the tyre pressure warning light on my E85 a few months after buying the car.
Used the handbook rest procedure but the light would come back on straight after going out, so out of interest I turned the car off, restarted the engine, drove up the road at about 10mph with the tyre button pressed until the light went out and it hasn't been on again since.
I changed to non run flats about 12 months ago, had no problems but i did the book reset procedure before moving the car and did it again once i had checked and adjusted the tyre pressures at home.
Might be worth a try in the OP's case.
