Black on black is just bit too sombre a bit too dull and boring, just my opinion mind. I turned down a black on black E89 but I know plenty others wouldn't.

In my opinion the red with a black metallic paint gives the car an evil look (in a good way) :evil: ... Something different and it will incite comments from whomever sees it.. The Z4 is a car that goes better with a contrasting interior.... Go for the red if it's you and it will sell easy enough - if you are not one of those lease deal types for whom it doesn't matter.... 
In the end you will select what you want and unfortunately, it will be the wrong decision. Still, as others have said on similar threads, if it is what you want then that is all that matters. I don't agree.john-e89 said:

I've changed my mind, on the black car I prefer the cognac to the red as it looks more classy
