Red leather treatment, what do you use?

After buying a snow lance and various shampoos etc I'm happy with my cleaning of the outside so time to move to the inside.....
What's the best method/products to clean/treat/protect the red leather and does it cause any colour transfer as I wear white shirts for work so it's pretty important I don't turn up with a half red back to my shirt lol??

I use Gliptone Liquid Leather Scuffmaster http://www.liquidleather.com/scuffs.htm great for minor bolster scuffs and the conditioner does give the interior smell a great of leather :thumbsup:
 
Mine is in pretty good condition tbh and only done 50k (2008) so not had a massive amout of abuse compared to some others I've seen. the bolster could use a little attention but that's just me being fussy lol.

Any special tools/brushs/cloths needed?
 
Gliptone are the best products to use, simply because Gliptone themselves work with nothing but leather!
If you ask any automotive trimmer, they will always point you in their direction for leather cleaning and care products!

Thats the right stuff, I also have red leather. The cleaner will help remove the shine from the leather thats caused by your bum rubbing the leather over time. The conditioner will feed and keep the leather supple whilst helping to protect it, along with the added bonus of leaving a lovely leather smell :thumbsup:

Today I've now spent £60 on this, some autoglym roof cleaner and treatment and some gtechniq i1 smart fabric protectant :driving:
 
You can also use the cleaner on the steering wheel leather you know. It will do a nice job of removing any shine from the leather whilst removing all the built up embeded grime. Once dry just give it a rub with the conditioner to feed and protect the leather, the end result will be a nice matt leather steering that feels like new :thumbsup:

that's the stuff, red doesn't matter, I have that [and in the E30 M3]

If you have a really badly scuffed bit, that needs treating, then cut off a piece of the leather from a hidden place, send it to them, and you'll get a re-colourant. Worked a treat for me :thumbsup:
 
defo like the sound of doing the steering wheel, didnt think of that :driving:

will see what the bolster looks like after ive gave it a good clean and treatment and see if its better or not :D
