Bottom line is the guy's bought a cheap car and is asset stripping it... The wind deflector is already up for sale, presumably to be followed by the cupholders, the first aid box, the mats, the manuals and anything else he can easily take of it before finally offering up the car for sale, probably for more than he paid for it. Guff about his wife changing her plans or his arse not fitting the seats is just that - guff. I don't have an issue with setting whatever price for items - if it's the right price it will sell - but don't treat us like idiots.

s**t i forgot the 3 day old new mats but yeah heres the wind deflector. Im actually only 85kg and 5ft 10 wouldnt say im fat but yeah my arse doesnt fit.

The way i see things its like selling a car you have a price in mind usaully well above the actual figure you will achieve. People will come a long and tell you Dave down the road has a chepaer one etc. Its part of the game but people seem to think the seller dictates. Wrong i have something for sale not you jog a long. Even my 3.0i i had before had standard seats and this is a 2.2i. so i dont need someone telling me there not rare when all people want is M sport seats. The reason im selling them is theres actually less room for me inside the cabin than the standard flat seats.

thanks for everyones opinion by the way i did have a rough idea already they will be put up for more than £600 thats for sure if you dont like it then go and find some for £600 and stop whining just be humble and enjoy what you aint got. A rare set of red M sports seats.....[/quote

Get them up for sale then n stop wasting everyone's time asking for their opinions and then quoting a stupid price that no one will ever pay?
I can't understand what the hell having a 3ltr and then going to a 2.2ltr has to do with the sale of your seats but 'whatever '
You really do spout some shite fella

when he got spanked on the sale of his 3.0 and then came crying on here about it.

i was crying?. i sold the car for £300 less than i bought it for but made over £800 off the parts so do the math i was quids in. Just like the black one i just got for £1500 with these rare M sport leathers i willl make on that too.... :driving:

Yes crying that a trader duped you, after posting on here how you had actually sold it to a Z4 fan only for it to pop up for sale a few days later for a grand or so more. You then tried telling us all not to buy it. Why? because he made a fool out of you. As for the rest of your post 1, no one believes you and 2, no one cares :poke:  ! Next you'll try telling us (again) how your 2.2 is actually better than 3.0 like you did in a recent thread. When are you going to wake up to yourself and realize the only person your fooling is........you!

Your last post says it all, your just out to profiteer, take your car and sell the bits elsewhere, you sound like you'd shaft your own mum.
Do you think you're big n clever because you've brought a cheap car? Then bragging about it whilst offering bits for sale at inflated prices.

You sir are a knob head of the highest order

Is he from Norfolk then? :D

I think everyone should calm down and take a seat.... just not a £1000 red one

This topic should be moved to the "On the light side" section.

On a serious note, I think it is very naughty to start a thread in the wrong section asking advice then trying to "shaft" members who were giving you advice :telloff:

The majority in here are enthusiasts like myself and would ask the experts in this forum before parting with our money so good luck to you as you really need it to sell your seats for over £600 !!!!

What a tool, they're not even rare :|
do you have them?

Their quite rare to be in a 2.2i I didnt i my last 3.0i and ive only seen them in certain z4's. Whos cares if you think there rare or not seriiously soeme right jumped up twats on here. Like i said earlier everyone wants something cheap all paly sending me pm's. Sorry do i know you jog on will ya. Their mine to sell at what ever price i like if you dont like it go wash your car or something quit commenting

Tbh I agree with both sides.

You are infact perfectly within your rights to sell these at whatever price you like.

But...

You did ask for pricing advice, then completely go off the rails when some 'low' figures came up.

I have a black and yellow set in my garage and having installed them in my Z4 to check the heated and electric parts work, I must say they were a massive improvement over the SE seats.

My advice is to chuck them on ebay. Pretty sure I remember a set went for around £800 on there a couple of months ago. I think they were heated and electric with about the same wear as yours.

Seriously, you do yourself no favours by writing the shite you do on an open forum.
I feel sorry for whoever buys your new car, I can imagine the bullshit now,

Prospective purchaser" how long have you owned it, and why are you selling it so quickly after such a short time of ownership",

Bullshiterbfc" well it's been the best car I've ever owned, sadly the seats are a little too small for me and my dog to fit in, my mother was going to have the car but I don't think she will be able to control the powerful rear wheel drive car, also it's faster than a 3ltr one don't ya know"

I bet your going to tell them you picked it up for less than £2000, whilst also trying to shaft as many people in the process with overpriced parts off the car that the new buyer won't get the benefit from.
You may as well be a trader. You watch next they'll be a set of xenon headlights he's just tried buying from a fellow member up for sale here, on eBay, gumtree etc, for 3 times the amount he's paid, then comes on here trying to say everyone wants something for nothing

*sits back in a deckchair enjoys the thread with popcorn and a bud...*

I actually have no problem with people making money on items so long as the price is fair for the buyer when on a forum that those same people utilise and gain knowledge and community from.

E.G I bought a carbon leather dash set recently and decided not to install it. In that time and through a couple of threads I've vaguely gathered the value for the full set is probably around 450 for a fair price for all three pieces. Which is what I will probably put it up for even though I paid less. But just because it's a "rare" item (and a hell of a lot rarer than red m sport seats for that matter) does that mean I'll bump the price to 800 quid? Of course not. I've learned a lot from this place and there seem to be some nice people on here so why would I want to screw someone over???

More important than that though is attitude in dealing with fellow members. To ask for advice, then ignore it completely, then get your back up at justified reactions to that ignorance and become even more belligerent is quite frankly... well... stupid. :|

Their rare as in they dont come up for sale very much and not every zed has them being a premuim upgrade seat i mean. My local breakers has a set of seats for £50 so theres money to be made in selling them on. Im sure people just think the forum is the only source of bmw z4 stuff so all sing along to the same tune. If there was lots for sale at that price id say yeah your all right but we just know thats not the case. Just searching for used Z4 parts in general is a joke theres a limited supply. This only pushes prices of used parts up, I was speaking to a Bham bmw breaker just the other day. I asked why he doesnt buy Z4's in and he said there's just not enough out there to buy trade/salvage. I spoke to another breaker from bognor regis who came up to see me n Sunday. He took one look at them and said £800 would be his price. He's one of the main ebay Z4 breakers just look at his prices and people pay. I think £600 is bottom price really, people know that anything less is a steal come on whos being stupid really.

Admin close thread please no time for disputes over pricing seats.

Ive got my own popcorn right here. Its funny people get so mad when you have something they want. I had a mint E46 i bought last month paid £3000 trade for it at auction. I knew it was approx £3500 quick sale it was mint not a scratch 70k miles so thought id stick to what I thought. All the usaul e46 lot your cars worth less rubish because they cant sell ther own at that price etc etc. It sold 2 weeks later for £4500 sold it to first viewer just like my last 6 bmw's ive owned. Its buisiness i dont know why people take forum life so serious like their offended and its their seats im selling.....

No one actually cares about the seats, it's just the way you are coming across.
You're just a money grabbing waste of time, out for what they can get, problem is you don't try to even hide it!
That's what people don't appreciate, if it doesn't bother you fair play. What goes around comes around 8)

You do realise you pretty much just proved bazzabs point with that last post.

And for the record, traders aren't allowed to post items for sale anyway according to forum rules... so what gives?

Just sayin'...
