No offence, but even as someone who specifically looked for these seats in the car that I purchased (and got them with the car) I would never pay that much for these. Come to think of it, if I were upgrading mine which are mint I would be looking for around £650 and mine are both heated and electric!

You are moving into the territory of second hand Recaro Sportster CS seats there which is what the BMW performance seats were based on. Your price is well beyond optimistic there chap. Just my tuppence!

Frankly asking a grand is just embarrasing..id wish you good luck with the sale but i don't, plain greed is an ugly trait and not in the spirit of this forum

how much would these seats be worth?

What's the point of asking if you clearly don't give a sh*t about people's opinions? :?

That said, I'm sure they'll sell for £600 if they are in decent nick, even though they aren't heated. Good looking seats.

It's an old car dude not brand new If they were new id want a lot more than £1000. Their very rare seats i dont remember seeing any up for sale at £600. The fact i paid £1500 for the car and there sat in a 2.2i SE just gets betterfor me. Got no rush to sell them eveyones wants them but cheap you should see the PM's.....TYPICAL
Boasting about how you're planning to get some mug to pay over the odds isn't exactly the smartest thing to do but I guess you've got to recoup some losses from when you were duped by a trader selling your last Z4.

I'm just giving an opinion. If this was a 'for sale' thread, I wouldn't comment as I don't think that's right, but as it's in discussion, i think it's eligible for critique.

I think £600 is about right. They're pre facelift so have the ugly Seatbelt holders and grey bits, have bolster wear/saggy leather in places and aren't heated.

I have no problem with them being manual. I actually think the electric seats (which I have) are pretty much needless as they take far too long to adjust.

You know you can set them to operate on the key blip? By the time you unlock, walk to the car and open the door they are all adjusted.

I have heard of that, but I don't have an owners manual so never figured out how to do it.

I'm the only one who drives my car anyway, so I only adjust them when cleaning.

Hi Ben, if you programmed your seats to number 1 or 2, you could move them about for cleaning & then get them back to the exact position you set them just by pushing 1 button

Ben
It's coded to the key at a dealers or Indy, alongside a whole raft of other key and car specific settings.

Sounds like it's if no use to you though as sole driver

You can do it on inpa/ncs expert/pa.soft pretty easily too its just under col/hot coding for ignition will be in german if using ncs expert but you can get a tranlsater which converts

Going back to the seats if i was selling for £600 id have a que as long as my arm. These seats dont come up often anyone who thinks they do can go get there own for £600. Im not here to do people favours i want the highest amount for them its buisiness. I think £650-800 is reasonable and will easily sell im not worried at all. Everyone wants something cheap in this game. Id probaly be saying the same if i wanted to buy them.

Seriously, is this a for sale advertisement?
Page 1, your asking for advice on pricing, members comment with reasonable replies, you more or less agree with them.
You then turn around and say you'll sell them for £1000?
I think you just enjoy the wind up really and let's face it a fair few members bite
Not sure if you've already put up a for sale advertisement in the correct section but on this forum stuff is often sold discounted to forum members which you obviously don't want to offer, but makes me laugh how your happy to buy discounted goods from other members.
How about you do the same with these seats?
£600 just because they're red and rare in your eyes doesn't mean you'll get that,
Maybe on eBay with you bidding them up you may get close but on this forum I would say £500 would be fair.
I'll say this has I've brought a few items from here, all the things I've brought have been of good quality and fair price, no hassle transactions, these were from forum members not trying to get top dollar for their goods.
Put them on eBay as it appears your to greedy for this forum

The way i see things its like selling a car you have a price in mind usaully well above the actual figure you will achieve. People will come a long and tell you Dave down the road has a chepaer one etc. Its part of the game but people seem to think the seller dictates. Wrong i have something for sale not you jog a long. Even my 3.0i i had before had standard seats and this is a 2.2i. so i dont need someone telling me there not rare when all people want is M sport seats. The reason im selling them is theres actually less room for me inside the cabin than the standard flat seats.

thanks for everyones opinion by the way i did have a rough idea already they will be put up for more than £600 thats for sure if you dont like it then go and find some for £600 and stop whining just be humble and enjoy what you aint got. A rare set of red M sports seats.....

Get them up for sale then n stop wasting everyone's time asking for their opinions and then quoting a stupid price that no one will ever pay?
I can't understand what the hell having a 3ltr and then going to a 2.2ltr has to do with the sale of your seats but 'whatever '
You really do spout some shite fella

Bottom line is the guy's bought a cheap car and is asset stripping it... The wind deflector is already up for sale, presumably to be followed by the cupholders, the first aid box, the mats, the manuals and anything else he can easily take of it before finally offering up the car for sale, probably for more than he paid for it. Guff about his wife changing her plans or his arse not fitting the seats is just that - guff. I don't have an issue with setting whatever price for items - if it's the right price it will sell - but don't treat us like idiots.
