Red Flashing Light (roof down)

Hi just had the roof motor replaced and all of the hydraulics, also the two main hydraulic rams that operate the roof (don't ask it was butchered by a main dealer last year)
Roof works perfectly however last couple of times I have had the roof down I have had this problem :-

Press the roof open button and the windows drop slightly, roof folds with ease and the windows return to the up position, the red flashing light goes out and the roof is open
if I then go over a speed hump or a pot hole the roof light starts flashing red - If I then press the roof down(open) button again the window drop slightly and then return to the up position and the light goes out

The roof sensor (down/open position) has also been replaced ?

anyone got any ideas what this could be even the garage are struggling ?

doesnt sound like itslocking down.. when parked with it down, can you lift it up with your hands slightly?

Yeah I can and if I push it it goes down about 1/2 inch ? But the lights not on all the time ?

Yeah I can and if I push it it goes down about 1/2 inch ? But the lights not on all the time ?

if you got it done at the dealer, I'd go back and have a word with them about the locking mechanism..

however, just check the white pull cord in the boot hasn't been pulled

Mine does this sometimes, only way I resolve it is jumping out the car and giving the hood a little push to lock it down.

Guide the folding fabric "the other way" so it folds lower down and locks (i.e. one fold push it the other way).

I had to train my first Z4 to do this so it would sit flush, you only need to do this twice or so as the fabric will fold the other way from then onwards.

I had a simiilar issue previously, and fixed it like so;

Has been like this for weeks now, and the roof has been perfect and no ill effects from removing the springs mentioned.
