Ah, yep knew him. Galbraith's replacement was (IIRC) Mick Sommers, who I knew growing up in Germany.

Also saw them this year at Wings and Wheels @ Dunsfold, along with the Vulcan (the noise!)...

The EuroFighter (Typhoon) was also pretty darn loud though

The Typhoon was at Ayr and is also really impressive.
Vertical ascents at speed and also almost stopping vertically before slowly creeping skywards again almost in slow motion.
The SAAB from the 50s was pretty cool too.
