Recommended HID Bulb Replacement?

One of my HID lights went out last night and looks like it needs to be replaced.

Any recommendations on the best bulb replacements to get? I have heard good things about the Phillips D2S 6000k. I heard that these have a bit more of a blue hue over the 4300K.

Also check PIAA. Even if you match the color temp of the good one, they won't match-the old one has shifted.

If you've never worked with high voltage, though, I'd find a mechanic. If you do it yourself, then NO fingerprints on the bulb-it will shorten its life dramatically.

I've got the 6000K upgrade bulbs, they look fantastic and there is no loss of illumination at night...

Thanks for the input. I'll go with the 6000K upgrade.

I used to work at a company called Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and we used to work with very high voltage and even more scary....very high current! I'll try and be safe for this change.

LOL. I don't work with electricity. Scares the crap outta me. Give me bacteria, viruses, etc. THOSE I don't mind handling.

The caution on the figerprints still holds, though. See if you can find some white cotton gloves or the like to handle the bulb.
